Welcome to the Windows 7 Project Site
Microsoft will be releasing the next version of the Windows desktop operating system, Windows 7, on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Miami’s technical community is actively engaged in a project to review Windows 7 which includes tasks such as analyzing the new features, testing Windows 7 in Miami’s network environment, and preparing for the eventual deployment of this operating system.
Windows 7 is available for purchase for faculty/staff/student personally owned computers through e-academy (click here for more information). Home users are advised that some software and services may be incompatible with Windows 7. The project team will be making further recommendations after additional testing is complete.
