  • Thinking Globally Acting Locally links learning and leadership through community interaction, dialogue, participation, coalition building, and problem solving.

  • A white paper is a certain type of report that is distinctive in terms of purpose, audience, and organization. This paper was written in August of 2009 by Kathleen Knight Abowitz, Staphanie Raill Jayanandhan, and Sarah Woiteshek. Their goal in producing this paper was to:

  • A new minor through the Department of Geography and the program of Urban and Regional Planning, this new program is designed to extend classroom learning about community planning and environmental sustainability into the surrounding region of Butler County, Ohio.

  • The Wilks Leadership Institute sponsors interdisciplinary “think tanks” to embed public engagement and community leadership education into the academic curriculum at Miami University. The Think Tank model recognizes that the creation of innovative academic coursework in community leadership takes careful planning and development.
