Miami Bound Wind River Trek is a program designed exclusively for incoming, first year students. This optional program is aimed at better preparing students for their upcoming years at Miami. We will explore transitional issues of communication, group dynamics, leadership, responsibility, independence, and college life while diving into an adventure of a lifetime.

Participants in this Miami Bound Adventure trip will work, play, and live together. You'll backpack, fly fish, and camp together. Through these experiences, you will gain first hand experience with the transitional issues faced by first year students.

Wind River Trek Fee Information

The $579 Wind River Trek fee covers early arrival move-in fees, food, supplies, and trip-related expenses. There is a non-fundable $100 down payment as part of the $579 trip fee. Any studetn who completes the form below and receives confirmation that he/she is registered for the trip will not receive a refund of the $100 down payment.

Cancellation Policy

After completing the form below and receiving confirmation from the Outdoor Pursuit Center that you are registered for the Wind River Trek trip, if you need to cancel your reservation you must contact Jen Siliko at ryanjm1@muohio.edu by August 1. If you do not cancel your reservation by August 1 your bursar bill will be charged the $579 trip fee and will need to be paid with your tuition and fees in mid-August.
