The Office of New Student Programs will begin accepting 2010-2011 Student Orientation Undergraduate Leader (SOUL) applications on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Current Miami undergraduate students who will be enrolled in fall 2010 courses are eligible to apply for the SOUL position.

In addition to completing the SOUL application, applicants will be asked to submit two letters of recommendation on their behalf. Your references should be individuals who can comment on your ability to be a SOUL (refer to the SOUL position description for specific details). One of the references must be employed by Miami University (i.e. RA, First Year Advisor, Professor, Advisor, Employer, etc.). Your references may not be family members.  It is recommended that you contact your references before submitting your SOUL application so that the references have ample time to write a recommendation letter. The references will complete a form online and attach a letter of reference at www.muohio.edu/orientation/soulreference.

 

 

1. Review the SOUL position description and hiring timeline.

2. Download the 2010-2011 SOUL Application here.

3. Complete the SOUL application and re-save the file as your first and last name (i.e. “John Smith”).

4. Complete the webform below and upload your completed SOUL application.

5. If you haven’t done so yet, contact your two references and provide them with the SOUL References website www.muohio.edu/orientation/soulreference. Please be sure to provide your references with your Unique ID as it is something they will need in order to submit the letter of recommendation on your behalf.
