Made at Miami

August 18-20, 2009

MADE @ Miami is designed for a diverse group of academically ambitious students eager to get the most out of their Miami experience and comprises qualities valued by the university community—Mentoring, Achievement, Diversity, and Excellence. Participating in MADE @ Miami will introduce you to resources and strategies available to help you successfully navigate your way through Miami University, especially during this time of transition. It will also provide you a head start in building a supportive network of friends and mentors who can help you create a bright future at Miami and beyond. In addition to meeting other first-year students from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, you will also meet faculty and staff who may assist in introducing you to experiences and insights that will broaden your understanding of Miami University as well as help you to stay on course during the academic year. There will also be a special session for family members. While MADE @ Miami is open to all entering first-year students, students of color, International students, and students receiving Miami Access Initiative scholarships are strongly encouraged to attend. Look for more information to come in the mail in June.
