Student leaders are an important component of the work of New Student Programs.  By working with Orientation or supporting the year-round functions of New Student Programs, student leaders can learn about leadership styles and strategies; build interpersonal and intrapersonal competence; become more familiar with Miami University and its structures; better understand issues of college student transitions; improve written and verbal communication skills; and learn and practice group facilitation and teamwork strategies.  Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to pursue leadership opportunities in our office.
