In addition to completing the SOUL application, you must have two references submit letters of reference on your behalf. These letters will be included in your SOUL application file. Your references should be individuals who can comment on your ability to be a SOUL (refer to the SOUL position description for specific details). One of the references must be employed by Miami University (i.e. RA, President of Student Organization, First Year Advisor, Professor, Advisor, Employer, etc.). Your references may not be family members, friends or roommates.  It is recommended that you contact your references before submitting your SOUL application so that the references have ample time to write a recommendation letter. It will also be helpful to give your references your Miami University unique ID as they will need this information in order to submit your letter of reference. You should direct your references to www.muohio.edu/orientation/2012SOULreference where they can fill out the appropriate form and attach a letter of recommendation.
