Jason, Asha, and Pete (one of the people who runs the misssion house) went to two different villages today. Asha had raised money and school supplies from her work to donate to a school in N'Darala, one of the villages that Pete visits frequently. In the first village, Pete had to change the bandages on a man that was involved in a motorcycle accident, but wasn't properly taken care of. After he took the bandages off and gave us a warning we were able to see his leg. In three pretty big spots on his calf/shin there was absolutely no skin, and you could actually see the plain muscle itself...it was quite an experience. When then drove to another village to pick up some charcoal for Pete. The villages were all very secluded in the middle of nowhere and we had to drive for miles through dirt, rocks and mud to get to them. On the way home we stopped at one of the huts and bought some mutton (meat from a lamb), and a coca-cola. The villages that we went to today were drastically different than our village, but it was an interesting experience none the less.
