Yesterday, we spent our last day at 2 organizations: Semillas de Esperanza and Fundacion de Jesus.
We painted the mural in the picture alongside the children at Semillas de Esperanza. It reads: Boys and girls have the right to: health, education, etc. It was great to see that the mural was both a bright and friendly addition to the space as well as a meaningful message.
As the day went on, I could really tell that the students were realizing that this was our last chance to be in Cartagena working with the children there. I hope that, thanks to the awareness of educational and poverty issues in this trip, students will feel encouraged to become even more active in serving their local AND global communities.

The mural was absolutely amazing. It was great to see the progress the children made on a beautiful piece of art. The appreciativeness of the children made me truly realize how thankful they were for our efforts. After this trip I can truly appreciate the little things in my life and how much still needs to be done for children in Colombia and many other areas across the world. These efforts start with awareness!
