Political Geography Assignment
Following is your next assignment, which is due Thursday, November 1, in breakout section (as usual).
Using concepts of nation, state, and geopolitics, explain the establishment of the modern state of Iraq.
To answer this question, consider:
- What is the identity content of the Iraqi nation? Put differently, what is the basis of the notion of an Iraqi nation?
- Under what historical and geopolitical conditions were the modern borders of Iraq established, and who was involved in that process?
While you may use Wikipedia as a start, do not use it as a primary citation source. For citation, use APA style (again, as usual).

I had tried to find some information over weekend, but I am still not sure what should we have a conclusion about. Do you want us to make a conclusion that what caused Iraq to become a war leading country right at this moment, or do you just want us to write about the history of the Iraq? Like, the background history about the Iraq…. I am just lost in the questions. I just do not understand any of the questions what I need to search for… and not sure about what we really have to have as the conclusion purpose. Not really cordinating well with the question… I think.
